The search is continuing for a 24-year-old woman who recently moved to Pinebluff from Durham.
Police and search crews canvassed areas in and around Pinebluff Thursday in hopes of finding Jocelyn Delese Clark, who went out for a walk more than a week ago and didn’t return home.
She is described as a black female with long black, curly hair. She is 5 feet 6 six inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black coat with brown fur around the hood. She was believed to be wearing a beige jump suit with brown shoes.
Police said Clark has possibly been reported last seen walking in the Aberdeen area.
Clark and her mother had recently moved to Pinebluff to stay with her grandparents.
Anyone with any information on her whereabouts please contact the Pinebluff Police Department at (910) 281-5935 or the 24-hour line is (910) 947-2911.
In addition to the search by police, a friend of Clark’s family, Elizabeth Lyerly, has also been doing her part to see that the missing girl is found.
“I hope she has gone on her own volition,” Lyerly said. “I hope she will see that we are concerned about her and are looking for her and she will realize its a bigger deal than she may have thought.”
Lyerly, a local veterinarian, organized a group of about 50 people to conduct a community search this past Sunday. She has also helped distribute more than 1,500 fliers. Lyerly said she will continue to do what she can until Clark is found.
“Until we know,” she said, “we have to keep looking.”
