Aberdeen Man Faces Several Charges Related to Break-In

An Aberdeen man was arrested Wednesday and now faces several charges associated with allegedly breaking into a house in the Vass area.

Christopher Marchetti, 35, 1408 North Sandhills Bldv., Aberdeen, was charged by officers of the Moore County Sheriff’s Office with breaking and entering, felony larceny, two counts of possession stolen property, two counts of obtaining property by false pretense, according to a press release.

The arrest stemmed from the break-in of a residence in the Vass area on Jan. 13, according to the release. Marchetti was arrested after a Southern Pines pawn shop and a man that lives in the Aberdeen area reported Wednesday to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office that they had been victims of obtaining property by false pretense, according to the release.

Marchetti was jailed under a $10,000 bond.
