Pinehurst police are searching for a male suspect in the armed robbery of the RBC Centura Bank on Chinquapin this morning.
The incident occurred at 8:06 a.m. just after the bank opened.
Police described the suspect as a white male wearing a black jacket, a black ski mask and brandishing a black gun. He got away with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the scene on foot, traveling in an unknown direction.
No shots were fired and no one was injured in the robbery.
Pinehurst Police Chief Ronnie Davis said the lone bank teller described the suspect as "very polite."
