Ann West Spivey, 77, of Aberdeen, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at Bethesda Cemetery, Aberdeen. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Boles Funeral Home, Southern Pines.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Spivey and wife, Pam, of Poquoson, Va., Allen Spivey and wife, Jan, of Reidsville, and Tony Spivey and wife, Cheryl, of Apex; four grandchildren, David, Daniel, Ashley, and Stephen. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, William Haywood Spivey (1996).

Mrs. Spivey was born May 20, 1932, in Ashburn, Ga., to the late Ollie Jackson and Mildred Perry West. She loved to cook and was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Aberdeen, having been a past Sunday School teacher, youth coordinator, and served on numerous committees.
