Women of Seven Lakes will host the sixth annual Taste of the Town Monday, March 22, at the West Side Community Center in Seven Lakes from 5 to 7 p.m.

As in previous years, this event will feature wonderful, eclectic foods presented by the following popular dining establishments in the area: Corfu Taverna, Dog Nation Grill, Henry's Gelato, Little River Golf and Resort, Nina's, Outback Steakhouse, Rhett's Personal Chef and Catering, Seven Lakes Country Club, Seven Lakes Pizza Kitchen, Table on the Green and Thai Basil. More restaurants will be announced at a later date.

The cost is $20 per person. Wine, beer, coffee and dessert are included. Desserts will be provided by Broad Street Bakery, Lula's, Panera Bread and Starbucks. >

All proceeds will benefit the WEUMC Food Pantry in West End.

Preceding the event, from 4 to 5 p.m., the Women of Seven Lakes will offer the second annual Wine Tasting featuring Sandhills Winery.

The proceeds will benefit local charities supported by the Women of Seven Lakes. Appetizers will be provided by Harris Teeter, Fresh Market and Goldie's Gourmet. Tickets for this event are $10.

"Tickets go quickly, so we urge you to get them as soon as possible," says a spokesman.

They will be available at March 4 meeting of the Women of Seven Lakes and sold at the North, South and West mail houses, along with raffle tickets for gift certificates
