The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service will hold an organic vegetable gardening class at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, and Tuesday Feb. 23, at Acorn Ridge Baptist Church in Robbins.

Acorn Ridge Baptist is four miles north of Robbins on Acorn Ridge Road, which is just off N.C. 705.

"In this class, we will cover soil building and cover cropping, pest management, seasons in the garden and square foot gardening," says a spokesman. "The class is intended for beginners, but there will be plenty of substance for experienced gardeners."

The meeting is free and open to the public.
