Prediction on Tea Party

The “Tea Party” is not a party … yet. But it is a a rapidly growing voice of Americans who are disenchanted with the course of events taking place in our nation’s capital.

It comprises Republicans, Democrats and Independents who aren’t afraid to express their dismay at their own or the opposition party.

At this point they are focusing on six primary points: 1. A “do nothing” Congress. 2. The fact that all of the power and influence is held by “lobbyists.” 3. One party votes down a bill submitted by the other party simply because it’s submitted by the opposition and without understanding its content. 4. The amount of money being heaped onto our national debt with no controls over its use or dispersal. 5. Jobs. They (we) are really tired of companies and corporations creating “foreign jobs.” We need jobs here in the United States of America, and we need them now! 6. Large banks giving bonuses they can’t afford to people who don’t deserve them.

The “Tea Party” is young and growing very fast. From what I’ve seen of them so far, let me make a prediction. Their goal is to drive the “lobbyists” out of politics, put people in office who can overlook party politics and correct these situations and get back to basics — serving the people who put them in office.

I hate i missed the (KEG PARTY) that apparently most of the Tea Party memebers where, during the last 8 years of the last administration. They really missed alot to protest when it comes to goverment intursion of privacy, wastefull spending, financial greed by our financial institutions, and misguided and costly wars that really hurt this country. But hey, when it's a 8 year kegger i guess you cant remember much and there is a big mess to clean up.

Citizen1969...you are a perfect example of why our country should be opposed to a socialist agenda. I would guess by your misspellings and grammatical errors that you are a product of our socialist government schools.

During the prior 8 years of Bush 2's reign, there was not as much of a need for a TEA party because the liberal media espoused the problems with that administration on a daily basis. The current administration does not get taken to task or held accountable for their decisions in the media's eye, except for on FOX News; thus, the need for the citizen-founded TEA Party.

I personally don't see the TEA party going anywhere, with Sarah Palin being associated with it. This is the only reason I wouldn't support them. I have more foreign policy experience than Sarah Palin.

Other than that it just seems this day in age it would be very hard to just have another political party come in there when we already have two major ones that dominate politics, unless the Republican party dissolves in to the TEA party. That is what's wrong with this country, the party system. Don't ask me what I would have instead because I can already tell you I don't know. The problems we are facing today are very complex and one can only hope our country lives to see the end of it.

Amazed: the TEA party people called people who didn't agree with President Bush unAmerican. They bashed the "liberal" media for criticizing President Bush for unprecedented growth in the size of the Federal Government. So because the "Liberal" Media was pointing out the problems the TEA party patriots didn't need to protest. I think that argument is on the weak side, especially if you love America.

I wonder what TEA party event you attended commonsense77...the events I've attended have not shared the same sentiments that you have expressed on behalf of the TEA party attendees.

At this juncture, we still have the 1st amendment, so disagreeing with our government is as American as apple pie...no matter who wears the presidential crown!

Amazed…. you seem to believe due to mainstream media’s bias the purpose of the Tea Party Movement is to take the Obama Administration to task on it’s bad policies and so call socialist agenda. The fact you even consider Fox News as a source of reliable and unbiased political reporting leaves one to wonder what the tea is spiked with.

Hey Libs, "How's that hopey changey thingy working out fer ya?". <---LOL CLASSIC! Aren't you proud of what you've allowed, and are still allowing, to happen with this once great country? I'm glad that many of you choose to ridicule the importance of this movement, or is it that you are simply afraid of it? Come November, you won't be speaking so nonchalantly about it ;)

Has Paul Fruiesen ever been to a Tea Party event? I seriously doubt it. He sites six priorities of the Tea Party which are not the ones I have heard at each event. The ones I have am aware of are: 1. Stop the insane spending. 2. Stop the ObamaCare Health debacle. 3. Term Limits for Congress. 4. State's Rights should be returned to the States. 5. Balance the Budget and Reduce the Debt. 6. Stop CAP & TRADE. If Congress did NOTHING, we would be better off. I hope it keeps snowing in DC. You've all heard the expression, "When Hell freezes over". Well I think it may be happening.

"Patriotism is supporting your country all the time, and your government when it deserves it." ~ Mark Twain

I choose not to blindly follow...can you say the same thing?

Isn't blindly following what the Progressive Dems, the MSM, and and the leftists are doing. Think carefully, have you ever heard a word of dissent among them? No matter what is said, they all agree.
