Man Faces Several Charges Related to Break-In

A Cameron man was arrested Tuesday for several charges related to forcing his way into a home near Vass and taking a cell phone.

Michael Dawayne Corley, 22, of 74 Marks Road, Cameron, has been charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, felony possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor domestic criminal trespass, according to a press release. He was arrested by Moore County Sheriff’s Office investigators, according to the release.

The arrest stemmed from a report the sheriff’s office received on Dec. 20, 2009. A woman who lived in the Vass area reported that her ex-boyfriend had forced his way into her residence and taken her cell phone.
