Concerning Geoff Cutler’s article in The Pilot ( Jan. 31), this fellow is a good example of what most Americans should be.

Most Americans should pay way more attention to what their government is doing. Way more people can tell you what American Idol is doing than what their politicians are doing. In the end, it will cost you and your children plenty in taxes and freedom if you don’t know.

And also try to do something about it. When we work for things in life, we feel better about ourselves. Don’t let the government run our lives. And don’t look to it for everything. Stop our socialistic trends. We are not the Soviet States of America.
