Update (2:30 p.m.) Union Pines has moved up its varsity doubleheader at Northwood to Wednesday, with the girls tipping off at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow at 7:30. The Vikings' JV teams will host Northwood the same day.

With schools out for the second consecutive day Tuesday, basketball games across the region have been postponed.

Pinecrest has moved its varsity doubleheader hosting Scotland to Monday, while Union Pines has moved its varsity doubleheader hosting Westover to Feb. 10.

Union Pines previously had a nonconference match-up at Northwood scheduled for Feb. 10, but according to athletic director Steven Ross, the Vikings are hoping to play those games Wednesday.

North Moore plans to host three game nights in three days this week. Tonight's games hosting North Rowan have been moved to Thursday, and the Mustangs are scheduled to host Albemarle on Wednesday and Gray Stone on Friday.

Meanwhile, O'Neal School has postponed its games hosting Harrells Christian Academy to Monday, with the varsity girls tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity boys to follow at 7.

All other game times are 6 p.m. for varsity girls and 7:30 p.m. for varsity boys.
