The little black dress is a go-to for any occasion and is a staple in every woman’s wardrobe.

It’s one of those dependable articles of clothing we seem to form a particular fondness for because it ventures off the hanger much more frequently than the rest.

But why wouldn’t it? Black dresses make every woman look and feel fantastic and are appropriate for almost every occassion.

Black dresses can oftentimes be a little pricey but what you must remember is, you will wear your money’s worth, so don’t hesitate to purchase the one that is right for you.

Tonight marks the closing of 2010 and the beginning of a year that hopefully brings you more blessings than you can imagine.

For your New Year’s Eve fashion inspiration we wanted to emphasize that you can look great while keeping in mind a budget.

Each outfit showcases the same dress with different accessories in varying price ranges.

We shopped in downtown Southern Pines, local department stores and even thirft stores.

If the shoes were a splurge, we paired them with lower-priced jewelery and vice versa.

The dress shown here is a beautiful one by Drew from Eve Avery that sells for $150. It has a peplum skirt detail with slight piping across the chest.

The high neckline allows you to layer long or short necklaces but also looks great standing alone.

Remember, a black dress is merely a palette. Accessorize the dress to make it personal and make your hair look nice. Putting your hair into an up-do gives you an immediate elegance.

Whether you have plans to spend an evening at home with family, go out to dinner, attend a party or anything in between, your faithful friend, your LBD (little black dress), would love to celebrate the evening with you.

Whatever you decide to wear, happy New Year!
