A Broadway man was arrested Monday by Moore County Sheriff’s Office investigators in connection with a break-in that happened in November.
Charlie Lawrence Johnson Jr., 43, of 718 Vernon Street, Broadway, was charged with one count of felony breaking and entering, one count of felony larceny after break and enter, one count of felony possession of stolen goods and one count of misdemeanor injury to personal property, according to a press release.
The arrest stemmed from a Nov. 17 report from a man who lived in the Carbonton area of the county that someone had broken into an outbuilding located at his residence and taken tools, according to the press release. Johnson was confined to the Lee County jail under a $10,000 bond on these charges.
Johnson also has charges pending in Lee County for similar offenses, according to the release. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation and recovery of the stolen property.
