Residents braved cold, rainy weather Saturday for the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Aberdeen. His reindeer may not have made the trip, but Santa did.
The parade was part of Christmas in Aberdeen: A Hometown Holiday Tradition. In addition to meeting Santa children had the opportunity to make crafts during the event. Merchants decorated their stores for the holidays.
Many Moore County residents woke to a light dusting of snow this morning.
No precipitation is in the forecast again until Thursday. Temperatures are expected to remain cold, with highs today and Tuesday reaching the lower to mid-30s.
Overnight lows are expected to be in the teens over the next 48 hours.

It rained and rained that day. We were expecting Aberdeen to cancel or reschedule the parade. For those of us who were supposed to be in the parade, we were disappointed. =( Maybe next year...
