Sunrise Theater Presents Third Film in Trilogy

The Sunrise Theater's SunFlix Series presents the third and final film in the hit trilogy based on the international best-sellers by Stieg Larsson.
Noomi Rapace returns in her role as Lisbeth Salander in the thriller "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest." The film also stars Michel Nyqvist, Annika Hallin, Per Oscarsson and Lena Endre. This Swedish language film is rated R for strong violence, some sexual material, and brief language and runs for 2 hours and 28 minutes.
This film will be shown from Thursday, Dec. 9, through Monday, Dec. 13, at 7:30 p.m. A matinee viewing on Sunday, Dec. 12, is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. There is no Saturday matinee.
The following plot summary is from the Moviefone website: "In The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - the final installment of the "Millennium trilogy" - Lisbeth Salander is fighting for her life in more ways than one. In intensive care and charged with three murders, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life. Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back."
The historic Sunrise Theater, located at 250 NW Broad St., in Southern Pines, is nonprofit. Ticket prices are $7 for all shows. Refreshments, including beer and wine, are available, and all movies are commercial free.
