Lane Closures Cause Traffic Delays on N.C. 22

Drivers are being asked to avoid N.C. 22 in Whispering Pines near the construction of the new Food Lion Shopping center because of lane closures.
This morning, heavy traffic congestion backed up traffic from Sullivan Drive south to Waynor Road and north from Sullivan Drive to Nicks Creek.
The lanes will remain closed until 5 p.m. today.
