The Union Pines volleyball team defeated The O'Neal School 25-11, 27-25, 25-17 Tuesday in Cameron.

The Lady Vikings ran their record to 4-0 with the straight set victory in the nonconference match. It completed the season sweep of the Falcons (1-2)

Junior captain Morgan Bridgers led the Vikings with 15 assists and also had five kills. Tyler Ross had five kills and seven digs on the night, while fellow sophomore Zazil Porras finished with six kills, four blocks and three assists.

O'Neal senior KellyAnn Miller had 13 assists and four digs for the Falcons. Claire Russell finished with five kills and four digs, while fellow junior Maeve Bartiss tallied five assists and three kills.

Union Pines also won the jayvee match by a 2-0 (sets) score.

The Vikes host West Montogomery starting with the junior varsity match at 4:30 Wednesday. The Falcons are back in action Thursday in Durham against Carolina Friends School.
