The visiting Union Pines varsity volleyball team swept The O'Neal School in a nonconference contest Tuesday.
Junior Morgan Bridgers had four kills and five digs to go along with a match-high 18 assists for the Vikings, who took the tilt 25-15, 25-16, 25-20.
Lexi Byrd led Union Pines with nine digs, while sophomore Tyler Ross had seven kills. Meanwhile, in her first game as a Lady Vike, sophomore Brittany Erickson tallied five digs, four kills and two aces.
Katelyn Hunt, a freshman, had three blocks and three service aces for the Falcons. Senior KellyAnn Miller led O’Neal with 14 assists, while Maeve Bartiss had four kills and two blocks.
Union Pines (1-0) travels to West Montgomery this afternoon, while O’Neal (1-1) takes to the court in a rematch against the Vikings at Union Pines next Tuesday.
