Southern Pines Recreation and Parks Department is offering several camps in the next couple of weeks.

At Junior Cheerleading Camp, the main focus will be tumbling, cheering, jumping, dancing and plenty of time for the girls to show off their talents.

Upcoming sessions will be held at the Train House and are scheduled Aug. 16-20 for ages 3-5 from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and ages 5-8 from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

The instructors for the first sessions will be Jordan Thompson and Megan Middleton, of the Pinecrest High School cheerleading team.
