Lauren Whitney Ezell and John Matthew Skvarla, both of Memphis, Tenn., were married at 6 p.m. on April 17, 2010, at St. Mark’s Methodist Church in New Orleans, La. Dr. Larry H. Ellis, of The Village Chapel, in Pinehurst, officiated at the ceremony.
The reception was held at the Princess of Monaco Courtyard in the French Quarter.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry O. Ezell, of Clinton, Miss. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmaceutical administration and is employed with Eli Lilly Co. in Memphis, Tenn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Skvarla III, of Pinehurst. He graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in accounting. He is the managing director of Magnolia Capital Partners and owner of Property Maintenance Supply Co. in Memphis, Tenn.
The bride was escorted by her father, Larry O. Ezell.
Sharon Elaine Ezell, sister of the bride, of Southhaven, Miss., was maid of honor. Catherine Skvarla Cutshall, sister of the groom, of New York City, Mary Walker Goza, of New York City, Tiffany Brewer Long, of Brandon, Miss., and Lindsay Claire Miller, of Destin, Fla., were bridesmaids.
John E. Skvarla III, of Pinehurst, was the best man. Jeffrey Hayes Cutshall, brother-in-law of the groom, of New York City, William O’Neal Frazier III, of Memphis, Tenn., Andrew Bennett Solar, of New York City, and Joshua Stephen Tayloe, of Boston, were groomsmen.
Following a wedding trip to Anguilla, the couple reside in Memphis.
