Jackson Springs Woman to Compete on 'Survivor: Nicaragua'

A Jackson Springs woman is one of the 20 contestants chosen to appear on next season’s “Survivor” series, according to a press release from CBS.

Jane Bright, 56, will be competing for the Espada Tribe when “Survivor: Nicaragua” starts on Sept. 15. She is a dog trainer, according to the release.

The 20 castaways will be divided into two tribes of 10 comprised of older competitors and younger competitors, according to the release.

The Espada Tribe, made up of individuals over the age of 40, must prove they have the life experience and knowledge that will ultimately help them Outwit and Outlast their younger competitors. The La Flor Tribe, consisting of individuals ages 30 and younger, will have to use their youth and vitality to outplay and ultimately outlast their elders.

One of Bright’s tribe members will be Jimmy Johnson, a former football coach turned sports announcer.

The winning survivor will earn a prize of $1 million, according to the release.
