Taylortown Man Faces Drug Charges

A Taylortown man was arrested Thursday after a search of his residence resulted in the seizure of cocaine, marijuana and guns.

Larry Joseph Sprueill, 36, of 1512 Juniper Lake Road, was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, felony manufacture marijuana, felony possession of a firearm by convicted felon, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a press release.

The search warrant was executed by officers from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office narcotics unit and select enforcement unit. The officers seized approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine, 3 grams of powder cocaine, 55 grams of marijuana, 3 marijuana plants, a .270 caliber rifle, a 12 gauge shotgun, $323 and items of drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $2,500.00.

Sprueill was jailed, with bail set at $100,000.
