The second annual "Applause for Paws: Music at the Ironwood Cafe" will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The fundraiser benefits Solutions for Animals.

The New Buffalo Thunder, with special guests, The McKenzie Brothers, will provide the music. Drinks will be available for purchase, with complimentary appetizers provided by the Ironwood Cafe.

All musician "tips" will go directly for the care of the SFA rescued animals and are tax deductible.

"Your applause will go for a great cause," says a spokesman.

There will also be a small silent auction and a drawing for two free spay or neuter certificates for dogs or cats, redeemable at the Spay Neuter Clinic of the Sandhills.

Solutions for Animals is a local no-kill, nonprofit shelter facility that provides indoor housing, quality care, premium nutrition and veterinary care for all rescued animals. Dogs, cats, goats, horses and even pot-bellied pigs have found temporary refuge at SFA.
