Jazz Vocalist to Perform at Temple

The Heart of Carolina Jazz Society presents Marlene VerPlanck, jazz vocalist, with the Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra, directed by Gregg Gelb, Friday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. at the Temple Theatre in Sanford.
For many years Marlene VerPlanck was one of the top jingle and background singers in the studios of New York. She has also sung back up for Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Blood Sweat and Tears, Kiss and who ever else happened to come through New York to record.
Marlene has released her 20th CD, "Once There Was a Moon."
Concert tickets are $15 for adults and $10 students/children (general admission).
