The Yellow Rockers Square Dance Club celebrated its 33rd anniversary Saturday, Aug. 22, with a luau dance featuring international caller Jerry Story for square dance and Jim Adcock as ballroom dance cuer.

The dance was well attended, with over 100 dancers from 18 North Carolina clubs and even a dancer from Chesterfield, Va. The Yellow Rockers provided a delicious spread of Hawaiian-themed food.

The Yellow Rockers will start a new square dance class in September. On Sept. 3, there will be an open house dance starting at 7 p.m. at the Senior Enrichment Center on U.S. 15-501 (2 miles north of the Traffic Circle) for anyone interested in learning more about square dancing.

"Bring a partner if you can," says a spokesman.

Call Karen at 949-2001 or Jan at 215-9313 for more information.
