This Monday, Labor Day, the Sandhills Cycling Club will conduct the Sandhills Habitat 20th Tour de Moore Century Ride.
Cyclists have a choice of three rides, a pasta lunch from Ragazzis and music after the ride. In addition to the 100-mile century ride, there is a 50-mile and 28-mile option. Refreshments will be provided at six SAG (stop-and-go) sites around the county.
While the Tour de Moore celebrates its 20th year, Habitat has been involved with the ride since 2005.
Last year, nearly 400 riders participated, so the Sandhills Cycling Club suggests interested cyclists register early. Registration is $40. Online registration is available at www.active.com.
A T-shirt and lunch are included in the registration fee. Activity bags and hats are available for an additional fee. Anyone wanting more information about the ride can contact Craig at craig@sandhillscyclingclub.org.
Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills is a Christian, housing ministry that offers interest-free mortgages to individuals in need of simple, decent housing.
