North Moore fell 60-12 to visiting Yadkin Valley Conference foe South Stanly on Friday.
The Rebel Bulls jumped out to a 34-0 halftime lead. Both North Moore touchdowns came on 46-yard Xavier Scotton touchdown passes in the third quarter.
With the loss, the Mustangs remain winless at 0-9 overall and 0-5 in conference play. South Stanly improves to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play with the win.
North Moore's losing streak now stands at 12 games spanning more than a year, and the Mustangs have lost 22 of their last 23 and 35 of their last 39 games.
The road doesn't get any easier for North Moore this Friday, as the Mustangs travel to undefeated conference frontrunner Albemarle (9-0, 5-0), which was ranked second in last week's Class 1A prep football poll.
Albemarle was a 54-22 winner over East Montgomery last Friday. The Bulldogs have outscored conference opponents by a combined total of 224-41 in 2009.
