The Heart of Carolina Jazz Society Presents a Latin/Afro-Cuban Jazz Big Band Concert with the Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra, directed by Gregg Gelb.

The event is at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Temple Theatre, 120 Carthage St., Sanford.

The band features five Latin-American musicians, including a percussion ensemble of Nelson Delgado, Pako Santiago and Ramon Ortiz, plus trumpeter Guillo Carias and bassist Luiz Cabral, in a performance of music by Tito Puente, Stan Kenton and other big bands.

Concert tickets are $15 for adults and $10 students/children (general admission).
