A Carthage woman was arrested today for allegedly obtaining controlled prescription pills by fraud.

Ronda Michele Jessee, 37, of 507 Connell Road, Carthage, is charged with one count of felony obtaining controlled substance by misrepresentation to a healthcare provider, according to a press release.

Officers of the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit arrested Jesse after conducting an investigation involving an individual obtaining Oxycontin, a Schedule II controlled substance, and Lorazepam, a Schedule IV controlled substance, by misrepresentation to a healthcare provider, according to the release.

Jessee was jailed and her bail set at $50,000.
