The Storytelling Arts Center of the Southeast has announced that the kick-off for its 2010 signature programming will take place Saturday, Jan. 23, with the third annual Bold-Faced Liars' Showdown.

The showdown begins with an afternoon competition from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by an evening performance by North Carolina storyteller and songwriter Michael Reno Harrell at 7 p.m, at the Storytelling Arts Center in Laurinburg.

Ticket prices range from $6 to $15. There is no additional fee to enter the competition.
