The SunFlix movie series presents "My One and Only," a film based on the true story of actor George Hamilton's early years, during which he accompanied his glamorous mother, Anne Hamilton Spalding (Renee Zellweger), on an extended road trip across the country to track down her former boyfriends.

The film airs Friday, Nov. 13, through Monday, Nov. 16, with showings weekdays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The comedy also stars Chris Noth, Steven Weber, Logan Lerman, Robin Weigert and Kevin Bacon. The film's official Web site provides the following summary: "The beautiful but mercurial Anne Devereaux has left her philandering husband and taken to the road with her two sons to find a suitable, wealthy replacement. Although it is 1953, Anne is certain that her girlish charms will serve her as well as they did two decades earlier. But time has marched on, and it seems the losers and playboys outnumber the eligible bachelors. While Anne never gives up hope, a series of new schools for the boys, ever more humble lodgings and misadventures start to take the gloss off of their trip. As the miles wear by, their journey veers from eccentric, to poignant, to hair-raising to comic. Ultimately, Anne makes a different future for herself and her sons than any of them had imagined."

The historical Sunrise Theater is located at 250 NW Broad St. in Southern Pines. Tickets for the evening shows are $7 for adults, $6 for matinees. This film is rated PG-13 and runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
