"Avenue Q" is the smash-hit Broadway musical about real life in New York City, as told by a cast of people and puppets through a hilariously irreverent, Tony-winning book and score.
The three-time Tony Award-winning musical will make the Pembroke debut at the Givens Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.
The play tells the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who moves to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is way out on Avenue Q, where everyone's looking for the same things he is: a decent job, a stable relationship and a "purpose."
Due to adult situations, "Avenue Q" may be inappropriate for children under 13.
To order tickets, call the Givens Performing Arts Center box office at (910) 521- 6361 or (800) 367-0778. For more information visit www.uncp.edu/gpac.
