Beacon Ridge: Mary Snead is the Beaconettes Club Champion for 2009.
The Club Championship is a three-day event played over three weeks of 9-hole competitions.
Snead tied at 73 with Bev Covault and won in a score card playoff. Alice Shaughnessy was second runner-up with a score of 77.
The Ladies 18-Holers played their monthly Beacon Cup Round, a net score event, on Nov. 3 with the following winners:
Lindy DiBella won with a net 67. Flight 1 -- Hilde Krallinger, 71; Clarice Moreau, 77; Sonja White, 79. Flight 2 -- Irene Galioto, 73; Nancy Cunningham, 74; Sarah Abbott, 76. Pinehurst: The Silver Foils played their annual Couples Tournament, a two best ball contest. The winners: Nancy and Stu Heilman and Ginny and Doug Lapins, 10 under par; Anne and Mike Nash and Irene and Lowell Corbin, 7 under par (MOC); Ronda Brooks and Bob Sandler and Kathy and Pat Mondock, 7 under par (MOC); Lisa and Don Akers and Cookie and Pete Kremer, 6 under par.
The Chippers played on Nov. 4 on Course No. 3, and the contest was that each player could throw out one hole and 90 percent of each player's handicap was used for scoring. The winners were Marie Richmond at 30, Marge Lavoie with 31 and Tracy Nater with 34.
The Chippers played on Oct. 28 on Course No. 1 in a low net contest. Marge Lavoie scored 35 to win first place. Flight 1 -- Jeanne Mager, 39; Nancy Nielsen, 40; Joanne Drengler, 42. Flight 2 -- Peg Schirmer, 37; Susan Angelier, 44; Sylvia Booth, 46.
The Birdies played on Course No. 1 on Nov. 2 and the game was one best ball on yellow flag holes, two on white flag holes and three on red flag holes with 95 percent of each player's handicap used for scoring. The winners: AA/BB -- June Eichele, Beth Bennington, Joan Sponik, Joyce McWane, 138; Karen Fox Cook, Bonnie Hanly, Vera Pelekoudas, Val Minick, 140. Whispering Pines: The Ninettes played a "Long Shot" game, gaining points for longest drive landing in the fairway and longest putt. The game was on Nov. 2 using the back nine of the West Course. Flight 1 -- Val Flahie, 9 points; Mary Jakucyk, 7 points. Flight 2 -- Sandy O'Malley, 8 points.
The Men's Golf Association played on Nov. 4 in a Star Tournament. The team score was the star player's net score and the scramble score of his three playing partners. The Wanderers are a Whispering Pines traveling group that played at Scotch Meadows Country Club on Nov. 3 and the format was a two man team best ball. The results: Flight 1 -- Chuck Daley and Don MacIlvaine, 63; Chet Paff and Jim Kelly, 65; Tony Pisacane and Bob Cunningham, 66. Chuck Daley won low gross with 76 and Bob Cunningham won low net with 69. Flight 2 -- Tom Jones and Jerry Lloyd, 63; Mac McCormack and a blind draw, 64; Dick Mills and Ron Derrick, 65; Tom Jones won low gross with 86 and Jerry Lewis tied for low net at 71 with Ron Derrick.
Marilyn Merry won the Pinettes' Founders Day Tournament in a sudden-death playoff against Daryl Pierce and Anne Gerwig, who also finished with net 73. Merry won the first hole of the playoff. Midland: The Men's Golf Association played a Nassau Tournament on Nov. 4 with two best balls of the foursome needed for scoring. Overall winners: Walter Scheyett, Frank Griffin, Dick Baird and a blind draw with 120. Front nine winners: Paul Aschmetat, Jerry Kelly, Joe Alden and Richard Madeira, 58. Back nine winners: Harvey Koonce, Jim Braunscheidel, Joel Rabdau and a blind draw, 57. Harvey Koonce won low gross with 79. Richard Madeira won low net with 64.
In a nine-hole skins game Bill Crenson won on hole No. 3, Ken Batchelder on No. 4 and Neil Hartwick on No. 5. Birdies were recorded by Ken Betchelder on No. 6, Joel Rabdau on No's 10, 14 and 15, Lee Hancock on No. 10 and Jack Henderson on No. 16.
The Ladies Golf Association played a team event and the winners were: Pat Easter, Nancy Hartwick, Sally Kelly Georgia Snow, 151; Pegge Banks, Carolyn Crenson, Alberta Settzo, Lois Vollmer, tied at 152, with Beverly Braunscheidel, Margene Chapmen, Dee Hancock and Carol Linthicum. Mary Ann LaLonde, Dee Hancock and Penny Higgins had chip-in birdies on the second hole. Pegge Banks chipped-in on No. 3.
Whispering Woods: The Men's Golf Association played on Oct. 30 and the format was one low net on par 4s and 5s and two low nets on par 3s. Bob Carlson, Al Gaeta, Bud Henty and Jim Willard had a winning score of 70.
The Men's Golf Association played on Nov. 4 and the event was three low nets balls of the foursome, with Phil Scalia, Jim Willard, Carl Williams and Bill Woodruff scoring 197.

Woodlake: The Ladies Golf Association played on Oct. 27 in a low putts contest on the Maples Course. Darla Howe won with 33 putts and Pam Congelosi was second with 35 in a match of cards over Wanda Parker, who also carded 35 putts.
National: The Men's Day results for play on Oct. 31 are: Skins -- Andy Summers, Van Warren, Giff Fisher, Ron Coffman Jr. and Steve Points, had two skins each. Dave Dunn and John Doster had one skin each. Stableford winners were Van Warren with plus-2 and Giff Fisher with plus-1.
Team play was a two man blind draw with Van Warren and John Doster scoring 138.
Pinewild: The Men's Golf Association results for Oct. 29 are as follows:
