Curves of Southern Pines and Solutions For Animals have partnered to celebrate National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week (Nov. 1-8), established by Humane Society of the United States to recognize and celebrate the lifesaving rescue and adoption services provided by animal shelters such as Solutions For Animals (SFA).

Curves members are bringing much needed food and supplies to support the services of SFA. Several Curves members are actively involved in supporting the efforts of SFA -- a nonprofit, no-kill shelter that provides indoor housing, quality care, premium nutrition and veterinary care for all rescued animals.

Cinny Beggs, owner of Curves of Southern Pines, has offered to carry the "appreciation" through the Thanksgiving holiday to allow more time for folks to donate.

Members of the Sandhills community are invited to bring an item or two to Curves of Southern Pines on Old U.S. 1 South between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A few needed items include scoopable cat litter, paper towels, bleach, apples, carrots and rice and more.
