The cosmetic department at Belk in Southern Pines is planning two events to help the ladies look their best for the holidays and receive the gifts they want most.

Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancome, Chanel and the fragrance counter invites customers to experience "Beauty Sense." It is an open house to meet the beauty experts and learn tips, tricks and insider information on the latest innovations in beauty.

Belk beauty experts can customize a skin-care regimen to meet specific concerns and teach customers to turn a daytime look into an evening look in moments.

Customers will receive samples and a free tote bag with any cosmetic or fragrance purchase of $50 or more.

Beauty Sense will run through Nov. 14. Customers are encouraged to call to reserve an appointment.

The second event, on Nov. 21, will be "Holiday Wish List Saturday." The Moore County Choral Ensemble will help kick off the event at 10:15 a.m. with a selection of holiday songs.

Ladies will be able to select fragrances and beauty products and fill out a wish list to be a guide for loved ones who shop Belk for holiday gifts. Customers who complete a wish list will be eligible to enter a drawing for a holiday gift basket valued at more than $300.
