Recently, having noticed the battery symbol light up in my car, I took the car in for service, but the service people could find nothing wrong. Then, on the night of Oct. 28, the battery died outside the Food Lion on N.C. 5.
While I was waiting for my son and the tow truck to arrive, not only were the employees of Food Lion helpful and kind, but two ladies at different times, who had just finished shopping, saw me and offered to help. One even said she would gladly drive me home -- even though it would have been out of her way.
Shortly thereafter, my son and Sandhills Roadside Service arrived and came to my rescue.
