Do you have a great green idea?
Local residents are invited to attend a Sustainable Sandhills Community Action Team (CAT) meeting in the coming months. CAT meetings are forums for residents to share green ideas, to form networks, identify projects, and take positive action to improve their communities.
Current projects include greening local schools, creating new trails for recreation, weatherizing low income housing and recycling.
Upcoming meetings in Moore County will be held May 19, July 21 and Sept. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 in the Clement Dining Hall in the Dempsey Student Center at Sandhills Community College on Airport Road in Southern Pines.
Anyone needing more information can contact Amanda Blue, Sustainable Sandhills Community Action Team coordinator, at 673-0826 or amandab@sustainablesandhills.org.
