Patriot Girls Claim Another Soccer Title

The Pinecrest girls' soccer team made its 10th conference title in a row official with a 10-0 victory at Seventy-First Wednesday evening.

Antonia Meyers had a hat trick and regular goalkeeper Sarah Dejak scored a pair of goals, as the Patriots ended the match early under the 10-goal differential rule. The win gave them a two-game lead over Jack Britt with one match to play. They took a 13-0 record in the Mid-Southeastern Conference and 15-4 overall mark into tonight's regular-season finale at home against Douglas Byrd.

Also getting into the scoring act for coach Todd Abbey's squad were Kate and Beth Hieronymus, Mariotti Meyers, Lauren Corrigan and Claire Epling. Kate and Beth Hieronymus, Mariotti Meyers, Bailey Pages, Keegan Cary and Ally Parziale were credited with assists. The shutout was the team's 11th of the season.
