The board of directors of the Moore County Community Foundation is currently accepting grant requests for community projects funded from its community fund, according to Board President, Hugh Bingham.
Funds are available for nonprofit organizations that serve general charitable needs in Moore County.
Applications are available at nccommunityfoundation.org (under "Moore County"); or First Bank at 205 SE Broad Street in Southern Pines. The deadline for submitting applications is May 31.
The Moore County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation (NCCF). The community fund was established to help support local charitable needs through annual grants.
In addition to Bingham, Moore County Community Foundation board members are: Randall Phillips, Cos Barnes, Betsy Best, Farrell Bushing, Pidgie Chapman, Hugh Hinton Jr., Stephen Later, Louise Lucas, Kelly McCrann, John Mecimore, William Samuels, Peggy Richardson Sarvis, and William Saunders.
