RSVP Theatre Holds Auditions for 'Annie'

RSVP Community Theatre will hold auditions for its summer production of the musical "Annie." This production will be held at the Asheboro High School Performing Arts Center July 24-26 and 31 and Aug. 1-2.
All auditions will be held at the Randolph Arts Guild, 123 Sunset Avenue, in downtown Asheboro. Auditions for children (grades 1-8), will be held Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and on Monday, May 18, from 7 to 8 p.m. Auditions for adults, high school and older, will be held Saturday, May 16, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and Monday, May 18, from 8 to 9 p.m. Auditions for the role of Sandy, Annie's dog, will be held at 6:45 p.m. Monday, May 18.
All auditionees will be asked to sing a verse and the chorus from a song of their choosing. Those auditioning for the role of "Annie" should be prepared to sing the first verse and chorus of the song, "Tomorrow." An accompanist will be provided. Recorded accompaniment, on CD or cassette tape, may be used provided there are no vocals on the recording.
All auditionees will read from the script and will be taught some basic choreography.
"Annie" is being directed by Rachel Downey. Bethany Jennings is the musical director, Lisa Johnson is the accompanist, Shaina Birkhead is the choreographer, and Joe Thatcher is the stage manager.
