In support of numerous children's programs and activities throughout Moore County, the Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills will hold a Casino Night at the Pinehurst Fair Barn from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 28.
The event is open to the public, and the price of admission is a $50 donation to the Kiwanis Club.
Numerous local businesses are supporting Kiwanis as sponsors of this event.
Admission includes a buffet served by Elliott's on Linden, four beverage tickets, and $500 in play money for the various casino games by All-In Entertainment. The evening will conclude with both live and silent auctions.
Among the many live auction items are popular golf foursome green fees and lodging, a gourmet cooking class for eight by Elliott's, four days at a popular North Carolina beach resort, decorative furniture and accessories, unique handcrafted jewelry, artwork, Seagrove pottery, exotic flower arrangements, luxurious spa treatments and products.
As a local recession buster, the silent auction includes many valuable restaurant gift certificates, a gourmet wine basket, complimentary beauty and hair services, free automotive services, children's toys and clothing and numerous home and garden items.
Credit cards, cash and checks will be accepted.
"Come and join the fun while supporting children's needs in Moore County," says a spokesman.
Tickets are available at the Squire's Pub and The Country Bookshop in Southern Pines or by calling Charlie Carlton at 235-0271.
