Two more arrests were made Wednesday morning in the cockfighting incident that occurred at Eagle Springs this weekend.
Deputy Chris McNeill of the Moore County Sheriff's Department reported that one of the two men arrested Wednesday is Orgelio Catalan, 37, owner of the residence where the cockfighting ring was broken up Saturday.
Also arrested Wednesday was 60-year-old Francisco Pulibo Arzate of Robbins.
The three men arrested Saturday when sheriff's officers raided the Dawson Place site have been released from jail after making $5,000 bail apiece.
McNeill said that in addition to the 74 gamecocks seized, the department confiscated a quantity of steroids used only for animals, tiny boxing gloves, metal spurs, boots and needles for the steroid injections. The birds have all been euthanized by Animal Control officers.
Deputies have several other suspects in the case and are tracking them down, according to McNeill.
