The OSU Sandhills Alumni Club recently hosted the OSU Women's Golf Team on their recent visit to Pinehurst.
In early March, 20 university and college women's golf teams gathered in Pinehurst for the annual Pinehurst Challenge Golf Tournament.
The Ohio State University Women's Golf Team was welcomed by members of the OSU Sandhills Alumni Club at a dinner in their honor at the Pinehurst Member's Club and housed in alumni homes during their stay.
Jim Dodson, editor of the PineStraw Magazine, golf author and Pilot columnist, spoke at the dinner about golf and the notable players he has known.
The team members enjoyed their visit to Pinehurst, and the OSU alumni.
Unfortunately, late winter weather cancelled the golf tournament.
The OSU Women's Golf Team and many of the other schools will return to North Carolina and play in the Bryan National Collegiate Tournament in Greensboro this spring, April 3-5.
The OSU coaches and golfers all said they look forward to returning to the Pinehurst Challenge and visiting with the OSU Sandhills Alumni Club members again next year.
