I speak for myself, and my late husband, when I say thank you, John Rowerdink, for your Feb. 27 guest editorial in The Pilot. It states very well the opinion of the quiet majority of Pinewild residents -- those who are not fighting the annexation of Pinewild to the Village of Pinehurst.

Doug and I came here because of Pinehurst, not Pinewild. Throughout 16 years here we have enjoyed all that Pinehurst has to offer and were more than willing to share in the cost of supporting the village to retain and maintain its character, charm, infrastructure and services.
