It has been almost amusing to read some of the anti-Obama diatribe in recent letters -- like the ones that claim we are heading toward socialism. Even if that were true, it would be a welcome change after eight years of a dictatorship.

Some say Obama's budget will reach astronomical and untenable levels. Where were these folks when the Bush administration blew a trillion-dollar surplus and turned it into a trillion dollar deficit while pursuing an ill-advised war against the wrong enemy?

All those fat cats who prospered during the past eight years cannot stand the thought that they might actually lose their tax-exempt status and start paying their fair share of the tax burden -- just like the majority of us middle-class folks have been doing.
