Deputies are searching for two men who robbed the Mac's Food Store No. 1 on N.C. 211 at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery occurred about 1:20 p.m. Moore County sheriff's deputies sent out a bulletin for all law-enforcement officers to be on the lookout for two black males wearing red bandannas that had been seen leaving the store after the robbery in a gold minivan heading east on N.C. 73 toward the Eastwood area.

Less than an hour later, deputies stopped a minivan matching that description near the intersection of Beulah Hill Church and Juniper Lake roads. Deputies detained two men but determined that they had no connection to the robbery.
