With the exception of Tuesday's Union Pines boys' tennis match at Asheboro, which is tentatively still on as planned at 4 p.m., all other Viking high school sporting events scheduled for today and Tuesday have been canceled or postponed.

Today's varsity baseball game versus Jordan-Matthews has been postponed for now, with no new date yet to be scheduled. The same exact scenario holds true with the Vike girls' soccer match, which was set to start at 6 p.m. today. The Union Pines boys' home conference tennis match, scheduled for today against Overhills, has been moved to Thursday.

The Viking varsity baseball team's Tuesday game at North Moore has also been postponed for now, with no makeup date set, and the team's Thursday game at Northwood High School has been moved up to Wednesday at 5 p.m. Union Pines' home junior varsity and varsity softball games against East Montgomery, scheduled for Tuesday, have been pushed back to Wednesday with a scheduled 4:30 p.m. start.

Union Pines' jayvee baseball had its Tuesday home game versus North Moore canceled as well.
