Pinebluff Residents Face Drug Charges

Two Pinebluff residents were arrested on multiple charges of trafficking in prescription pills Wednesday after officers of the Moore County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit and select enforcement unit searched their house.

Donald Thurston Stephens, 41, and Annie Jennett Stephens, 26, both of 128 Keith Lane, were both charged with seven counts of felony trafficking in opium or heroin, four counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, one count of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of misdemeanor child abuse.

During the search, about 230 controlled prescription pills were seized, including Percocet, Lorcet Plus, MS Contin and Endocet. Officers also seized 19 grams of marijuana, $1,206 in cash and items of drug paraphernalia.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $2,500.

Both Donald and Annie Stephens were jailed with bail set at $150,000 for each.
