It's probably safe to say that Pinehurst will be the center of the golf world in the summer of 2014.

According to a report published in the Charlotte Observer, the United States Golf Association plans to announce Monday that the U.S. Women's Open will be held at Pinehurst No. 2 in June 2014. The U.S. Open is already slated to be held at No. 2, starting on June 9, 2014.

The announcement by the USGA is expected to say that the Women's Open will be held at No. 2 the week beginning June 16, 2014.

According to the report, it will be the first time that both Opens have been played on the same course in consecutive weeks.
