Mary L. Wagner, 89, of Pinehurst, passed away Monday, July 27, 2009, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Mrs. Wagner was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Rochester, N.Y., to the late William Cameron Lockwood and Gertrude H. Kettle Lockwood. She married Edward Robert Wagner on Aug. 5, 1939. She was a longtime resident of Brockport, N.Y., who retired to Pinehurst. She was predeceased by a son, Midshipman E. Robert Wagner Jr., United States Naval Academy, 1964.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Robert Wagner, of Pinehurst; daughters, Carolyn Wagner Ellman and husband, Kenneth, of Rochester, N.Y., and Jocelyn Wagner Sodoma and husband, Randy, of Fort Wright, Ky.; son, Richard Cameron Wagner, of Midlothian, Va.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be held at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Brockport, N.Y. Fowler Funeral Home, Brockport, N.Y., will conduct the funeral service and burial at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Lakeside Memorial Hospital, 156 West Avenue, Brockport, NY 14420.
