Keep Government Out of Health Care

As Ronald Reagan said, "There they go again."

Obama is attempting to rush the unread, no-details health care plan through Congress. Tom Daschle noted the plan has to be rammed through Congress before the American people learn the details because that's what derailed Hillary's nationalized health plan.

Obama purposely gives no details; therefore they cannot be refuted. The strategy is to keep unemployment high so the unemployed will be without health care, to give credence to Obama's proclaimed need for government health care for the uninsured and build resentment of the insured.

The sole purpose of government-controlled health care is not to provide care but to legitimize the government's control over our lives and to regulate human behavior.

Government-controlled health care has been a disaster wherever it has been tried. It will bankrupt the country and inevitably lead to rationed health care.

America has the best health care in the world. People come to this country because the care they need is not available in their countries. We presently have Medicare for those over 65 or disabled, and Medicaid for those with limited income who do not qualify for Medicare.

Both programs are run by the government and are virtually bankrupt. Social Security is also on the verge of bankruptcy with obligations to future recipients that cannot possibly be sustained. Now we are to believe the government can run a nationalized health care program for everyone on United States soil, citizens and illegal immigrants alike, which will not bankrupt this country, raise our taxes and diminish the quality of our health care.

Why not just chuck the whole thing and give us all the same benefits that congressmen get?
